Server 2003 R2 Iso

Jul 03, 2015  I have an older HP Proliant ML150 Gen2 Server that I was hoping I could breathe some new life into with Windows Server 2008, use it for file or image storage, maybe a test lab. Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 ISO - Spiceworks.

  1. Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Iso
  2. Windows Server 2003 R2 Iso File
  3. Server 2003 R2 Download
  1. Actually Microsoft's own ISO download for 2003 R2 Std x86 is not bootable at all. It won't work with bootable USB utilities either. Rather frustrating for media when I continually have to go to torrents for something that should be around.
  2. Windows Server 2003 R2 is not a minor release like a service pack. It's an entire major release upgrade from Windows Server 2003. Same concept with Server 2008(as Vista) and Server 2008 R2(as Windows 7).

One of our old servers just crashed (HP PowerEdge SC1430) and (as always) the original CDs cannot be found..

We downloaded the instalation ISO from DELL and the Official Windows Server 2003 ISO from Microsoft, but the Microsoft ISO wont boot either burning it to a CD/DVD or trying to mount it from Virtual Box, or booting from Dell's CD and then inserting the ISO image when asked

Do you know if there is a special method to make the WS2003 CD disk?

Regards.. Sony vegas pro.

Server 2003 r2 standard download

1 Answer

Cd 1 boot, not Cd2 for R2.

Check your download to validate what its, as you can see the boot file on it.

Be sure its not just SP2 you downloaded. (In those days they offered iso with only the SP on it). People tried to slipstream them, but its not bootable.

From Microsoft:

The Windows Server 2003 R2 PSDK is a minor upgrade that adds a few features targeted for the Windows Server 2003 R2 release. Therefore issues you might have encountered with the Windows Server 2003 SP1 SDK and Visual Studio 2005 are for the most part unchanged with this release. The release still includes the 64 bit compilers that released with the SP1 SDK, ( it does not include x86 compilers).

Although these compilers are on the same code base as the ones later released in Visual Studio 2005 the Visual Studio compilerss continued to have enhancements introduced to them, long after these were released, you will find differences between them. (For example if you use the VS 2005 compilers, and the VC libraries from VS 2005 you will not need to link to bufferoverflowu.lib. While it is perfectly acceptable to continue to use these compilers for production code you should consider moving to the enhanced versions in Visual Studio 2005. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
