Two con artists attempt to fleece an heiress out of her fortune, but their scheme is complicated when allegiances get tangled.
Watch .. for a sumptuous, erotic thriller that always stays three steps ahead. In 1930s Korea (then under Japanese occupation), Fujiwara, a local scammer, enlists a pickpocket named Sook-hee to pose as the new servant girl to the moneyed Japanese heiress Lady Hideko. The plan is for Sook-hee to trick Hideko into marrying Fujiwara, at which point they’ll make off with her money, but blooming attractions in the house lead to various double- and triple-crossings. Director Park Chan-wook (“Oldboy”) brings a sensuous and sensual touch to the film, breaking up the ravishingly shot tale of suspense with a handful of jaw-droppingly immodest sex scenes.
Skip .. if your children are anywhere nearby. Park leaves nothing to the imagination in his erotic scenes.
